Adult themes are prevalent in Cyberpunk 2077, it’s what we expect. Not everyone is going to see everything, especially if you’re picking the game up in Japan.
According to PushStart some aspects of the game will be censored in Japan. The following is said to be changed for the Japanese audience.
- Added underwear to naked male/female characters
- Revised some sexually explicit content
- Selective revision of severing human body/exposed guts
- Revision/removal of billboard/graffiti shaped as genitals
Being censored in Japan is not a region I was expected to see being impacted but it will be frustrating for Japanese gamers.
Australia or Germany are two countries that often come down harder on strong content. The good news if you’re in either of those regions is that nothing will be changed.
