Cyberpunk 2077 weapons and items are acquired as you play. Weapons and gear are also upgraded and purchased at weaponsmiths throughout Night City. Players will also be able to acquire gear by completing key missions or from key characters that appear in the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 Weapons and Items Quality
There are five item qualities in the game.
Iconic items are the cream of the crop and expect to find these from encounters key plotline enemies in the game.
Players can expect to find an array of weapons including:
- Machine Guns
- Submachine Guns
- Assault Rifles
Projectile Weapon Categories
- Power Weapons – Conventional weapons which are more common and cheaper.
- Smart Weapons – These are auto-targeting weapons with cooldowns.
- Tech Weapons – Electromagnetic powered weapons with a high velocity. Can penetrate armour and cover objects.
There are numerous weapon manufacturers in Cyberpunk 2077. Each manufacturer provides weapons for different sections of the market. The manufacturers in the top tier create the most advanced weapons in the game.
Players can expect to find blades, knives, bats etc.
Placing a modification into mod slots on weapons will improve them. These mod slots add a secondary function to the weapon such as a secondary fire mode.
Clothing such as jackets provide armor and even Street Cred which is a form of experience a player acquires from completing side missions and leveling up. Street Cred unlocks new vendors and content throughout Night City where gear can also be acquired.
There are also different types of Cyberware that are attached to V’s body to enhance performance or add extra abilities. See the section on Cyberware.
CD Projekt has confirmed there will be no dual-wielding of any weapons.
