Eight years since the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer reveal. Thirty days to go.

Eight years ago CD Projekt revealed the short teaser for their new game, Cyberpunk 2077. It’s been a long time coming but we are nearly there.

While there were plenty of hints that CD Projekt’s next game would be a Cyberpunk themed game. It was not until they issued their press release on 30 May 2012 that we were really sure that’s what they would be working on. The press release also confirmed that Mike Pondsmith was involved with the project. Then on October 18th CD Projekt released a trailer confirming that the game was Cyberpunk set in the year 2077.

The countdown to launch really begins today with only 30 days left until the game is in everyone’s hands. The marketing has been ramped up and fans continue to speculate about every aspect of the game. Excitement is building for what is likely to be the most impressive game of 2020.

It’s going to be interesting to see the reaction when the game does eventually launch. Reviewers will be doing their best to get reviews up as close to release as possible but be wary of any early reviews, games like Cyberpunk 2077 take time to review properly. Review copies will likely go out early, usually a week or so before release, but this is a game that will take time to truly “complete”.

Not long now! Start counting down the days until launch.
