There’s an interesting shot from what is apparently from the Chinese Cyberpunk 2077 press event that has already taken place ahead of Europe. Could some interesting kit in the background indicate VR compatibility in Cyberpunk 2077?
It feels like a bit of a stretch, but in this pic which appeared on Reddit from the Chinese press event, you can see two Kat VR treadmills set up in the space. It’s not thought that CD Projekt would go as far as adding a VR mode. As we don’t know where the event was held, it’s likely that the venue has these set up all the time on site.
You just never know with CD Projekt, they might pull something out the bag at the last minute to surprise us.
With regards to VR, I did mod GTA V to run in VR, and walking the streets and driving at night was incredibly cool. Although it wasn’t the best experience with no native VR support, it worked well enough to feel immersive. Whatever happens, someone will get to work on modding Cyberpunk 2077 to work in VR, it’s inevitable. Walking around Night City in VR could be an incredible experience.
