A few months ago some media outlets went hands-on with Cyberpunk 2077. Now it’s time for some Brazilian Cyberpunk 2077 hands-on previews. It appears this was with the same or similar build of the game.
While we sit waiting for the game to launch, it’s always great to read different views on how the game has panned out. There are four previews worth checking out today and having run them through Google translate, it appears that the game is leaving previewers more than impressed.
Here’s a few snips as a taster:
What impressed me most was the amount of things that happen on the streets around him. At one point in the test, V returned home. Your apartment is in a mega residential complex that, on its floors closest to the ground, resembles a mix of street fair and shopping mall, full of stalls, restaurants and people everywhere.
During a conversation with one of the channels (fixers, in English) inside the car, neither. But in V’s apartment building, the (or) protagonist, I caused chaos after shooting someone – and in seconds the police came and killed me.
The fact is that it is easy to be immersed in Night City. The choice of first-person perspective is brilliant and the amount of simple events around you is charming. You hear convincing conversations, you enter scary places, you participate in that universe that swallows you up.
What we can take away from these articles is that CD Projekt has managed to create a living breathing city where your actions have real consequences. As someone who has written hundreds of previews and reviews over the past 25 years, I tend to be quite skeptical about previews from limited builds of a game. However, I am starting to get the impression now after reading so many of these over the past year that the game may well live up to all the hype. Release can’t come soon enough.
