I usually don’t upgrade my PC for years, the last time was about 3 years ago and the previous upgrade to that was 8 years ago. What usually makes me upgrade is the release of a game that I’ve really, really been waiting for. 8 years ago it was Diablo 3 and three years ago it was mainly because I needed it for work where I had to review a lot of games and do arty stuff.
Last week my new PC arrived just in case I was going to struggle with Cyberpunk 2077. I need not have worried, it would have been able to run on the old rig even if I couldn’t pump everything up to max.
Here’s a reminder of what the specs are in case you missed them yesterday. They are fairly modest considering we expect this game to be pretty damn deep.

- Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 470

- Storage: 70 GB HDD, SSD recommended
Recommended
- OS: Windows 10, 64-bit
- Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
- Memory: 12GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon R9 Fury
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 70 GB SSD
The fact that the game is going to squeeze onto 70Gb is pretty impressive for a start and the recommended GPU as a GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon R9 Fury is also not to be sniffed at.
